Overview
Roll out of Ulaanbaatar (UB) in a Russian jeep, or even just on a public bus, and you’ll only need to put a hill or two between yourself and the city before the vast steppes of central Mongolia begin to unfold before your eyes. Verdant swaths of empty landscapes are sprinkled with tiny gers (traditional yurts) stretching to the horizon while magical light plays across the valleys.
This is the Mongolian heartland, loaded with both historical sites and natural beauty, with plenty of scope to horse trek through forested mountains, camp by scenic lakes or soak in hot springs.

Tour Plan
We will leave Ulaanbaatar at 9:00 am and drive to Darkhan, the capital city of the Darkhan Uul province.
We will stop briefly in Darkhan to eat lunch and visit some local attractions. From Darkhan we will drive west to reach the Iven Valley and the Amarbaysgalant Monastery by the afternoon. We will visit the Amarbaysgalant Monastery and eat dinner.
We will spend a night in the ger camp of a local family. Lunch and dinner.
